Guide to storage rooms and (hopefully)
where to find things
There are, of course some items that tend to travel (like easles and the smaller tables and such) that may be listed in more than one section. As the arrangement plan develops I will try to minimize this occurance.
Fire equipment
- Fire Extunguishers ~ make a habit of glancing at them whenever you pass by ~ it is easy to see that the needle is in the green, if not, turn it in for service.
- Banquet Hall directly to the right inside the entrance
- Ante-lobby entrance (coatroom area) directly to the left inside the double doors
- Concert Hall backstage - on the wall by the theatre light utility closet
- Art Gallery ~ on wall to the left of the office
- Theatre ~
- z
- Sprinkler heads ~ these are of course, all over the building, but the main ones you need to worry about are in the hallway to the theatre and backstage Concert Hall, and in the hallway between kitchens and restrooms, where they are within reach
- Please remember to caution any groups moving in such as theatres sets, floral trellises, DJ equipment or any other large items ) when moving thru these areas. ESO personel should be present to help or at least monitor to make sure they stay away from the heads.
Also caution anyone who is helping sweep or mop in these areas to watch the handle of their equipment when working directly below these heads. In any case You should not even take the mop bucket into the hall to prevent hitting the ceiling when you go to wring it out. Be aware with the mop and bucket around the lights in the Egyptian lobby, though the chance of hitting them is less likely but not impossible.
- Smoke Detectors ~ get used to looking at them as you wander around the building, it is easy to get used to the best angle to see each units monitor LED ~ under normal conditions they flash about every three seconds ~ flashing very fast, constantly on or off completely, are all trouble indications
- Emergency light and Exit signs ~ need to press the test button every month or so. You will notice that they proceed to get dim little by little for months before they need to be changed. Most of the units can be reached for testing using the three-step aluminum utility step. Some like in the Banquet Hall require the 8' ladder to reach

- Telephone ~ table and phone book, paper and pencils
- Ice Machine ~ refrigerator
- coffe maker ~ filters, styrophoam cups, creamer and sugar if you're lucky

Sidestage storage off Banquet Hall Stage
- The area to the right of stage should be kept as clear as possible at all times for emergency passage out of the Banquet Hall
- maybe a few chairs, tables (temporary storage)
- space for the piano to roll offstage up against the window wall
- DJ's, bands etc can put some cases and equipment here, but make sure they get put off to the side along the wall and not in the walkway ~ have them put as much as possible in the closet to the left of stage

Art Gallery Office and service hall
- Dinner Table rolling racks (2) in the storage hall ~ NOTE: always place carpet over threshhold of doorway to roll racks out of the hall ~ without this they hit quite hard and can and probably will damage the castors. Do not roll the loaded carts or tables accross the carpet. Use the boards provided to roll the tables from the cart to the elevator. Otherwise they leave tracks that seem to never go away.
- Extra gallery lights ~ which we should part with
- Margaret's art supplies ~ in office and hall
- extra found plaster pieces from about collected to the end of the long hall
-
- fifth floor closet at the top of the stairs ~ holds large cases of toilet paper and paper towels. Also extra floor refinishing supplies that aren't used very often

Third Floor ~ now here could be a chapter in itself ~ Items that are currently on the third floor that will need to be reassigned
All have been moved to basement storage ~ 16Jan06
- Joans linens
- Stage risers ~ plastic chairs (~50-60)
- Christmas decorations ~ other decorations and accoutrements ~ Spaghetti Social etc
- extra glassware and napkins and other misc stocks of plates and wares
- Music stands ~ I have a design in mind that would make racking the music stands for transporting around ~ enough could be built for about $100 ( labor and all ~ probably less cif we have the lumber I neeed on the third floor - which we might) (or not))
